You know those nights where you really don’t want to do anything else except curl up into bed with some type of carb-heavy food and watch as many episodes as Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s until you can no longer keep your eyes open? I have them often, but it’s usually at the end of week when I am beginning to look and feel hideous.
I know I need to wash my hair, I know I need to fix my nails, fake tan etc etc but I am exhausted and seeing as those things take time and effort, I don’t do them and then wake up the next day wishing I had done something to fix the situation…
So I decided to end this vicious cycle, and I ventured to Priceline knowing very well that complete and utter exhaustion would set in after a full day of uni, but I was determined.
Seeing as I didn’t want to spend a lot of time, I chose four things that would swiftly do the job, and all products that I have tried and tested before. Palmers Cocoa Butter Natural Bronze Body Lotion ($9.40), Formula 10.0.6 Deep Down Detox Ultra Cleansing Mud Mask ($9.95), Formula 10.0.6 One Smooth Operator Pore Cleansing Face Scrub ($8.95) and O.P.I nail laquer in Mimosa For Mr and Mrs ($19.95).
Once I got home I raced into the shower, and at this point the exhaustion had well and truly sunk in. I got out, put on my mask, moisturised with the palmers natural bronze gradual tanning cream, painted my nails while waiting for the mask to set, and then I was done!
I would highly recommend the natural bronze gradual tanning cream to anyone with fair skin, and it is the best gradual tanning cream that I am yet to try. Other tanning products have always developed on my skin into a slight yellow tinge, which highlights my paleness, but this colour was the perfect golden brown. I have read some reviews complaining that the result was too dark, however I think it is perfect if you are trying to achieve a tanned glow and you are already quite pale, not to mention it leaves your skin moisturised for 24 hours.
I love all formula 10.0.6 products because they are inexpensive and they do the job. The deep down detox ultra-cleansing face mask rejuvenated my skin and dried out an impurity that I had been trying to get rid of all week. The cleansing scrub is a long time favourite of mine, and I find the mix of zinc, oat and pumice exfoliate effectively without being too harsh.
Lastly, the O.P.I nail laquer in Mimosa For Mr and Mrs is the perfect neutral colour as it’s not too pink and you can put one coat on as a base if you don’t feel like wearing colour.
